Starter Analysis |
|
PASSIFIED joins stablemate Diamond Diva to give trainer Jim Cassidy a nice one-two punch in the CashCall Mile. She won't get the attention at the windows of her cohort, but is not without a chance. Remember she is a Grade Two winner at a mile, in the San Clemente last year at Del Mar. Cassidy has brought her along with patience this year, and she could well be sitting on a big race. Would like to see her in just behind the leaders and getting the jump on the likes of Ventura and Lady of Venice. A top effort would put her right in the mix. |

Pedigree Analysis :: Chestnut filly, 4; by Compton Place (GB) - Passiflora (GB) (Night Shift) |
|
PASSIFIED is the second CashCall entrant from the James Cassidy barn. This British bred filly has spent more time in the U.S. than stablemate Diamond Diva, coming to California in late 2006. She has participated during some of the big turf days in the past year and a half, winning the Flawlessly last summer. After a strong first half of 2007, including a win San Clemente (gr. II) at Del Mar, she tailed off during the fall. That brought a six month layoff, and she's come back in good form with a win in the restricted Redondo Beach stakes last month, preceded by a narrow loss in her return effort.
Passified is by Compton Place (GB), Europe's champion 3-year-old sprinter of 1997. He has sired five other graded stakes winners in addition to Passified, all of them getting the victories overseas. Compton Place was leading British 2-year-old sire in 2006.
