Starter Analysis |
|
MY BABY BABY's connections were visibly disappointed when she drew the 12-hole at Wednesday's post position selection. That might not be all bad, though. If she breaks like she did last time out she could find herself on top and in the right spot to control things as they bend into the homestretch for the first time. Even if she doesn't, even an average break puts her in a good spot as the Euros and a few others are in no rush to get to the lead. She lacks the stakes seasoning of most others, but has been improving with every start and could be worth a long look. |

Pedigree Analysis :: Bay filly, 3; by Bernstein - Sarah Darling (Wavering Monarch) |
|
MY BABY BABY earned an American Oaks invite after a very impressive entry level turf allowance win at Churchill Downs on June 4. She’s been a model of consistency in all seven lifetime starts, never finishing worse than third. She has been equally adept on turf and dirt, on which she broke her maiden by a dozen lengths at Gulfstream early this year.
My Baby Baby hails from Bernstein, sire of three champions and eight Group 1 winners, with 34 stakes winners overall from five crops of racing age. His champions have all been overseas, including Storm Military, a champion miler in Argentina who was second in the American Handicap (gr. IIT) last weekend at Hollywood. Bernstein is a full brother to the graded stakes winning fillies Caress and Country Cat.
