Streakin’ Mohican Makes Turf Paradise Debut

INGLEWOOD, Calif. (October 4, 2012)—Streakin Mohican’, who set a course record during the 2012 Spring/Summer meet at Betfair Hollywood Park, will make his Turf Paradise debut Friday in the $35,000 Bienvenidos.

Scheduled for 6 ½ furlongs, the Bienvenidos is the last of nine races on the opening day program at the Phoenix track. Scheduled post time is 4:29 p.m. PDT. Track gates at Betfair Hollywood Park will open at 10:15 a.m. for simulcasts.

A 5-year-old gelded son of Songandaprayer and the Northern Afleet mare Teakem Totem, Streakin’ Mohican established a course record of 1.07.24 for six furlongs when winning a $32,000 claimer by 5 ¼ lengths April 28 over the Betfair Hollywood Park turf.

Claimed out of the impressive win by Rosette Racing LLC and trainer Bill Brashears, Streakin’ Mohican has since won once in four starts, taking a minor stakes June 3 at Arapahoe Park in Colorado. The Florida bred has nine wins in 33 lifetime starts and earnings of $350,177.
