INGLEWOOD, Calif. (August 5, 2013)—She’s a Tiger, who won the Landaluce July 13 in her Southern California debut at Betfair Hollywood Park, will try to stay perfect in the $150,000 Sorrento Stakes Wednesday at Del Mar.

A Grade II for 2-year-old fillies at 6 ½ furlongs over Polytrack, the Sorrento is the seventh of eight races. Post time Wednesday at Del Mar is 2:05 p.m. Track gates at Betfair Hollywood Park will open at 10 a.m. for simulcasts.

Owned by a partnership that includes Mark DeDomenico and Allen Aldrich and trained by Jeff Bonde, She’s a Tiger held on by three-quarters of a length as the 3-5 choice in the Landaluce.

The victory by the daughter of Tale of the Cat and the Cahill Road mare Shandra Smiles – making her a half-sister to multiple stakes winner Smiling Tiger – came three weeks after a nine-length win in her debut June 22 at Pleasanton. She’s earned $105,650.

She’s a Tiger’s opponents include three fillies who were first out winners at Betfair Hollywood Park – Concave, who won by 3 ½ lengths on turf July 12, Stop Smiling, who overcame a slow start to win by 1 ½ lengths over Cushion Track July 6 and Santa Lucia, who was nearly 23-1 when she won by a nose against $50,000 maidens June 28.
