Rosengold Versus Five In Uniformity Stakes

INGLEWOOD, Calif. (October 18, 2013)—Rosengold, who won the Tsunami Slew Stakes June 23 at Betfair Hollywood Park, will seek his fifth lifetime victory in the $70,000 Uniformity Stakes Sunday at Santa Anita.

Restricted to 3-year-olds at about 6 ½ furlongs on turf, the Uniformity is the eighth of nine races. Post time Sunday at Santa Anita is 1 p.m. Track gates at Betfair Hollywood Park will open at 10 a.m. for simulcasts.

Owned by co-breeder Bill Currin and trained by Julio Canani, Rosengold has lost three in a row since defeating Pure Loyalty by a neck in the Tsunami Slew.

A son of Stormello and the Mr. Prospector mare Lit’l Rose, Rosengold has started eight times and earned $173,850. He won the Baffle Stakes at the Uniformity distance last March 2 during Santa Anita’s Winter/Spring meet.
