INGLEWOOD, Calif. (Nov. 15, 2009) — Joel Rosario, who won his first riding title here in the summer, is back atop the Hollywood Park jockeys’ standings after riding four winners Sunday including Northern California shipper U R All That I Am in the $75,300 Cat’s Cradle Handicap.

The win gave Rosario a sweep of the weekend stakes at Hollywood Park and seven wins in two days following a hat-trick which included a victory aboard Bestdressed in Saturday’s On Trust Handicap.

Rosario made no mistakes aboard U R All That I Am as the 3-year-old filly stretched her winning streak to four despite going off as the highest price in the field of four California-bred fillies and mares.

After running comfortably in third behind pacesetter Gambler’s Justice and favorite Bootleg Annie, U R All That I Am moved to the outside entering the stretch and easily overhauled the front-runners, drawing off to win by 2 ½ lengths while covering 7 ½ furlongs on Cushion Track in 1:28.53. Smooth Performer got up for second money under Garrett Gomez, finishing a neck in front of Bootleg Annie and jockey Rafael Bejarano.

“She came out of there running and was comfortable in a perfect spot,” Rosario said. “When I asked her to go, she really kicked it in.”

U R All That I Am paid $13.20 and $4.80. The place payoff on Smooth Performer was $2.80. There was no show betting. The Cat’s Cradle was not part of Sunday’s Pick Six, but with only one favorite winning in the sequence, there is a carryover of $86,204 when racing resumes Wednesday.

“There really was nowhere to run her up north and I thought this was a pretty good place to try her,” said trainer Jerry Hollendorfer, who saddled two winners Sunday. “This is a transitional time of the year. If there was a good time to try a 3-year-old against older, this was it.”

U R All That I Am improved her record to six-for-nine while banking $46,800 for Tommy Town Thoroughbreds to boost her earnings to $134,810.

Rosario leads Rafael Bejarano by a 7-5 count atop the jockeys’ standings after three days of the 27-day Autumn Meet. His other wins came on Final Journey ($8), Punctual ($16.80) and She’s Funomenal ($5).
