INGLEWOOD, Calif. (June 14, 2011)—Mark Niemerow of Thousand Oaks and Giovanni Oldano of Weston, Fl. stayed alive in the $3,000 winner-take-all Show Me The Money –Presented by Golden Nugget Las Vegas – Thursday at Betfair Hollywood Park.

The free challenge, which began May 6 with 1,738 players, requires a participant to choose one horse each racing day – in six designated races – at least 10 minutes prior to the first race. The selected horse must finish first, second or third for a player to continue.

The last person standing will receive the cash prize along with a two-night VIP stay at the Golden Nugget Las Vegas.

The Thursday selection for Niemerow was eighth race winner Scherer Magic while Oldano chose Heartless Honey, who finished third in the third race.

Should both players survive through Sunday, July 15, the final day of the Spring/Summer meet, the contest will be decided by the first tiebreaker, which is most winners. Through Thursday, Oldano has 13, four more than Niemerow.

The next tiebreaker is most second place finishes, a category Oldano leads 9-7.
