INGLEWOOD, Calif. — Onetimeatbandcamp, benefiting from a ground-saving ride by jockey Tyler Baze and an erratic trip by runner-up Kanan Dume, had enough left in the stretch following a two-month layoff to capture the $48,000 allowance feature Friday night at Hollywood Park.

Onetimeatbandcamp and Kanan Dume ran head and head down the backstretch in the six-furlong sprint, but Kanan Dume lost several lengths when bolting on the turn, only to rally in the final eighth to close to within one length of the winner while making his first start since the 2007 Del Mar Futurity.

Onetimeatbandcamp, trained by Eric Kruljac, was timed in 1:08.64 while paying $7, $3.40 and $2.60 as the second choice in the field of six. Kanan Dume, ridden by Victor Espinoza, returned $5.20 and $3.20, while the show payoff on 2-1 favorite River Echo was $2.40.

The victory was the second in 14 starts for the 5-year-old gelding. He banked $28,800 to raise his earnings to $108,460. His maiden win came seven starts back in August of 2008 at Del Mar.

Rafael Bejarano rode three winners on the program and leads the jockeys’ standings with seven victories through three days. Joel Rosario and Baze rode two winners apiece and are second and third in the standings with six and four victories, respectively.

Peter Miller sent out sixth-race winner Greedy Way and tops the trainers’ standings with three wins from just four starters. Tim Yakteen saddled third-race winner Witchy Meeting and fifth-race winner Captain Time.

Racing resumes at Hollywood Park on Saturday with a special early post time of 12:30 p.m. for the tenth annual California Gold Rush program which features $1.3 million in purses for state-breds.
