Ondine Cuts Back In Beverly J. Lewis Stakes

INGLEWOOD, Calif. (September 4, 2013)—Ondine, who provided jockey Rafael Bejarano with the 3,000th victory of his career May 11 at Betfair Hollywood Park, will make her Fairplex Park debut in the $50,000 Beverly J. Lewis Stakes Friday in P:omona.

A race at 6 ½ furlongs for 3-year-old fillies, the Lewis is the opening day feature of the 13-day Barretts Race and Sales meet at Fairplex Park. The Lewis is the ninth of 10 races.

Post time Monday at Fairplex Park is 1 p.m. Track gates at Betfair Hollywood Park will open at 10:15 a.m. for simulcasts.

Trained by Hall of Famer Bob Baffert for Peachtree Stable, Ondine has won two of seven and has not been worse than third in her career. The daughter of Medaglia d’Oro and the Forest Wildcat mare Arrow in Flight has earned $128,200.
