INGLEWOOD, Calif. (December 2, 2010)—Hollywood Park will return to Thursday-Sunday racing for the final two weeks of the Autumn meet.

Due to a limited number of entries, the track was granted the reduction by the California Horse Racing Board.

This means Hollywood Park will be open for simulcasting only both Wednesday, Dec. 8 and Dec. 15. Gates will open at 10:15 a.m.

The Autumn meet continues through Sunday, Dec. 19. Post time is 12:30 p.m..

Before the 30th Autumn season concludes, Zenyatta will be honored with an appreciation day Sunday and two Grade I races will be decided.

After the sixth race Sunday, Zenyatta, who won 19 of 20 races and earned more than $7.3 million, will make a final visit to the Hollywood Park paddock, then will parade on the track in front of both the grandstand and clubhouse area.

Zenyatta, who earned eight of her victories at Hollywood Park, where she has been stabled for more than three years, will leave for Lane’s End Farm in Kentucky Monday to begin her life as a broodmare.

The remaining Grade I events are for 2-year-olds. Fillies will get together in the $250,000-guaranteed Hollywood Starlet Saturday, Dec. 11 and 2-year-old colts and geldings will meet in the $750,000-guaranteed CashCall Futurity Saturday, Dec. 18.
