Miss Becca Rejoins Eurton Barn For Irish O’Brien

INGLEWOOD, Calif. (March 15, 2013)—Miss Becca, who has earned two of her last three victories at Betfair Hollywood Park, is among eight California bred fillies and mares getting together in the $100,000 Irish O’Brien Stakes Sunday at Santa Anita.

Scheduled for about 6 ½ furlongs on turf, the Irish O’Brien is the eighth of nine races. Post time for the St. Patrick’s Day program is 12:30 p.m. Track gates at Betfair Hollywood Park will open at 10:15 a.m. for simulcasts.

A 6-year-old daughter of Marino Marini and the In Excess mare Excessiveabliity, Miss Becca was re-claimed by trainer Peter Eurton for $32,000 out of a fourth place finish Feb. 22 at the Irish O’Brien distance.

Bred by former owners Dennis Conner and Wade Jacobsen, Miss Becca has won five of 13 and earned $168,810. One of her victories came in a starter allowance over Cushion Track in 2011 while the latest came last Nov. 24 in a $40,000 claimer at six furlongs on turf.
