INGLEWOOD, Calif. (March 25, 2013)—Miceli, who broke his maiden over the Betfair Hollywood Park turf course last July 12, will seek his fourth consecutive victory in the $70,000 Pasadena Stakes Friday at Santa Anita.

A one mile turf affair for 3-year-olds, the Pasadena is the seventh of eight races. Post time Friday at Santa Anita is 1 p.m. Track gates at Betfair Hollywood Park will open at 10:15 a.m. for simulcasts.

Trained by Adam Kitchingman for a partnership, Miceli defeated next out winner Shining Copper when earning his first career win by one length as the 9-10 favorite at Betfair Hollywood Park.

After ending his 2-year-old campaign with a starter allowance victory over Golden Gate’s Tapeta surface last Dec. 16, the War Chant colt is 2-for-2 in 2013. The Kentucky bred won a $22,000 allowance by 4 ¼ lengths Jan. 16 at Turf Paradise before winning an optional claimer by three-quarters of a length at the Pasadena distance Feb. 1 at Santa Anita.

Out of the Armidale mare Tracktalk, Miceli has won four of seven and earned $95,444.
