Liaison, 2011 CashCall Futurity Winner, Returns Sunday

INGLEWOOD, Calif. (March 28, 2013)—Liaison, who earned his biggest victory in the 2011 CashCall Futurity at Betfair Hollywood Park, will make his first start as a 4-year-old in the $70,000 Santana Mile Sunday at Santa Anita.

A one mile race for older horses, the Santana Mile is the fifth of nine races. Post time Sunday at Santa Anita is 12:30 p.m. Track gates at Betfair Hollywood Park will open at 10:15 a.m. for simulcasts.

Trained by Hall of Famer Bob Baffert for owner Arnold Zetcher, Liaison has been idle since finishing ninth of 11 in the Grade I Travers last Aug. 25 at Saratoga.

A son of Indian Charlie and the Victory Gallop mare Galloping Gal, Liaison has won three of 12 and banked $588,894. However, he is winless in eight races since capturing the Grade I CashCall Futurity by a neck over Rousing Sermon Dec. 17, 2011.
