Lady Ten Aims For Three In A Row In Le Cle

INGLEWOOD, Calif. (July 5, 2012)—Lady Ten will bid for her third consecutive win over the Betfair Hollywood Park turf course in the $68,000 Le Cle Stakes Sunday.

The Le Cle, which is for 3-year-old fillies at one mile, is the third of nine races. Post time is 1 p.m. Track gates will open at 9:55 a.m. for simulcasts.

Trained by Hall of Famer Bob Baffert for Ernie Moody’s Mercedes Stables LLC, Lady Ten was a five race maiden when the Spring/Summer meet began.

The daughter of Rock Hard Ten and the French Deputy mare Mismonique earned her first local victory May 12, then returned to take an optional claimer June 2. Those wins were at 1 1/16 miles.

Never worse than third in seven starts, Lady Ten has earned $110,120.

Trois Aureole exits Grade II company, having finished fourth in the Grade II Honeymoon Handicap June 9.

Owned by J.W. Singer LLC and trained by John Sadler, the English Channel filly out of the Saint Ballado mare Two Halos has two wins in five attempts and a bankroll of $70,296. She won an optional claimer at the Le Cle distance May 10.

Dijarvo returns to turf after consecutive synthetic starts for trainer Paddy Gallagher.

Owned by Harlequin Ranches, the English bred daughter of Iceman and the Wolfhound mare Thicket has won two of seven and earned $63,052. She is 0-for-3 in the United States. Her best effort in this country was a third in the Grade III Railbird Stakes May 19 in her Cushion Track debut.

Lemon Hero stretches out after missing by a neck to heavily-favored Byrama in the Manhattan Beach Stakes June 9.

Trained by Peter Eurton for owners Mr. and Mrs. Marc Ferrell, the Lemon Drop Kid filly out of the Hold for Gold mare Bright Gold is 2-for-7 with earnings of $53,750.

Fifth in the Honeymoon Handicap, Long Face will be seeking her second lifetime win for owner Robert Trussell and trainer Patrick Biancone. The daughter of Whywhywhy and the Seeking the Gold mare Louvre Mysterieuse has banked $31,550 in four starts. Her win came in gate-to-wire fashion over maidens at one mile on the Santa Anita turf last Oct. 11.
