INGLEWOOD, Calif. (July 31, 2013)—Include Me Out, who made a successful 2013 debut in the Desert Stormer Handicap June 16 at Betfair Hollywood Park, and Byrama, upset winner of the Grade I Vanity a day earlier, head the field in the $300,000 Clement L. Hirsch Stakes Saturday at Del Mar.

A Grade I for older fillies and mares at 1 1/16 miles over Polytrack, the Hirsch is the eighth of 10 races. Post time Saturday at Del Mar is 2:05 p.m. Track gates at Betfair Hollywood Park will open at 10 a.m. for simulcasts.

Trained by Ron Ellis for Samantha Siegel’s Jay Em Ess Stable, Include Me Out, who has won seven of 14 and earned $956,030, is the defending Hirsch champion, prevailing by a neck as the favorite in 2012.

A 4-year-old Byron filly out of the Darshaan mare Aymara, Byrama rolled to a 3 ½ length win in the Vanity, which marked her initial race over Cushion Track. She’s won five of 20 and banked $508,750.
