Hollendorfer Pair Head To Keeneland For Raven Run

INGLEWOOD, Calif. (October 17, 2012)—Hall of Fame trainer Jerry Hollendorfer will be represented by a couple of Betfair Hollywood Park stakes winners in the $250,000 Lexus Raven Run Saturday at Keeneland.

A Grade II for 3-year-old fillies at seven furlongs, the Raven Run is the ninth of 10 races. Scheduled post time is 2:27 p.m. PDT. Track gates at Betfair Hollywood Park will open at 10:15 a.m. for simulcasts.

Owned by a partnership that includes Dan Borislow, Gillian Campbell and Steve Melen, Killer Graces earned the biggest victory of her career with a 14-1 upset in the Grade I Hollywood Starlet last Dec. 10.

A daughter of Congaree out of the Old Trieste mare Heatherdoesntbluff, Killer Graces, who also won the Cinderella Stakes and Landaluce over Cushion Track in 2011, has three wins in 15 starts and earnings of $451,232.

Hollendorfer will also be represented by Via Villaggio, who surprised heavily-favored Sister Moon to win the Grade III Railbird in May.

Owned by California Horse Racing Board member Steve Beneto, the daughter of Bernardini has three wins in 14 attempts and has banked $294,070.
