INGLEWOOD, Calif. (November 7, 2010)—Ellafitz, who has been first or third in three of five races over synthetic surfaces, will make her Hollywood Park main track debut in the $50,000-added Life Is Sweet Stakes Friday night.

Post time for the first of two Friday night cards – the other is Nov. 19 – during Hollywood Park’s Autumn meet is 7:05 p.m.

After the races, a concert starring Ozomatli will begin – approximately 10:30 p.m. – at the North Park Lawn.

Ellafitz is scheduled to face four others in the Life Is Sweet, which will be run at 1 1/16 miles over Cushion Track.

Owned by D. and E. Racing and trained by Bob Baffert, Ellafitz was third behind Switch and Hard Way Ten in the Torrey Pines Stakes in her most recent start Sept. 5 at Del Mar.

Gripsholm Castle will be seeking her first victory on something other than turf. Owned by Triple B Farms and trained by Ben Cecil, the 4-year-old Dyanformer filly out of the Gold Case mare Randaroo has won two of 11 and earned $77,678.

Her best effort in two starts over synthetic surfaces was a second in the La Canada, a Grade II, Feb. 14 at Santa Anita.

Washington Bridge, a 3-year-old daughter of Yankee Gentleman and the Prized mare Stirling Bridge, has won three of 16 for trainer Jerry Hollendorfer, who is also the co-owner with Mark DeDomenico.

An allowance winner Oct. 24 at Golden Gate, which increased her bankroll to $99,109, Washington Bridge will be making her first main track appearance at Hollywood Park.

Like Washington Bridge, Point of Reference last raced in Northern California.

Sixth of seventh on the Golden Gate grass Sept. 23, the 4-year-old Benchmark filly out of the Quiet American mare It’s Stevie’s Time will be looking for her sixth lifetime score. She’s earned $162,301 in 18 outings for owner-breeders Jack and Ivor Jones and trainer Frank Lucarelli.
