Distinctiv Passion Tries To Go 2-For-2 On Turf

INGLEWOOD, Calif. (August 12, 2013)—Distinctiv Passion, who earned the first win of his career last Nov. 25 at Betfair Hollywood Park, will try to stay perfect on turf in the $90,000 Green Flash Handicap Wednesday at Del Mar.

An ungraded affair for 3-year-olds and upward at five furlongs, the Green Flash is the seventh of eight races. Post time Wednesday at Del Mar is 2:05 p.m. Track gates at Betfair Hollywood Park will open at 10 a.m. for simulcasts.

Trained by Jeff Bonde for owners Edward Brown, Jr., Alan Klein and Phil Lebherz, Distinctiv Passion won by 1 ¼ lengths at 3-1 in his only appearance over Cushion Track in his second-to-last race as a 2-year-old.

A son of With Distinction and West by West mare Dance Forthe Green, Distinctiv Passion led throughout in his initial try on turf July 26 at the Green Flash distance. He’s won four of seven in his career and banked $180,650.
