INGLEWOOD, Calif. (July 27, 2013)—Comma to the Top, who has won five stakes races at Betfair Hollywood Park, will try for the 15th victory of his career in the $300,000 Bing Crosby Stakes Sunday at Del Mar.

A Grade I for older horses at six furlongs over Polytrack, the Bing Crosby is the eighth of 10 races. Post time Sunday at Del Mar is 2 p.m. Track gates at Betfair Hollywood Park will open at 10 a.m. for simulcasts.

Trained by Peter Miller for owners Gary Barber, Roger Birnbaum and Kevin Tsujihara, Comma to the Top earned his biggest victory at BHP in the Grade I CashCall Futurity in 2010.

A 5-year-old Bwana Charlie gelding out of the Stormy Atlantic mare Maggies Storm, Comma to the Top is cutting back in distance after finishing second behind Centralinteligence in the Grade I Triple Bend Handicap at seven furlongs June 29 at Betfair Hollywood Park. He’s earned $1,343,406 in 32 starts.

The Bing Crosby is a Breeders’ Cup Challenge “Win and You’re In’’ event. The BC-nominated winner of the race will earn a fees-paid spot in the Breeders’ Cup Sprint, which will be run Nov. 2 at Santa Anita.
