Ciao Bella Luna Returns To Scene Of Last Win

INGLEWOOD, Calif. (October 16, 2013)—Ciao Bella Luna, who has been idle since finishing fourth in the Grade II Hollywood Oaks June 22 at Betfair Hollywood Park, will return to the scene of her last victory in the $250,000 Lexus Raven Run Saturday at Keeneland.

A Grade II for 3-year-old fillies at seven furlongs over Polytrack, the Raven Run is the ninth of 10 races. Scheduled post time is 2:23 p.m. PDT. Track gates at Betfair Hollywood Park will open at 10 a.m. for simulcasts.

Owned by a partnership that includes Car-Den Racing Stable and trained by Wayne Catalano, Cia Bella Luna won the Grade II Beaumont by 2 ½ lengths in her last visit to Keeneland April 14.

Formerly in the barn of Hall of Famer Jerry Hollendorfer, the daughter of Tribal Rule and the Conquistador Cielo mare Shadow of the Moon has won three of eight and earned $168,610.
