CashCall Futurity Runner-Up Surfaces In El Cajon

INGLEWOOD, Calif. (August 26, 2013)—Fury Kapcori, who finished second behind Violence in the Grade I CashCall Futurity last Dec. 15, will make his second start of 2013 in the $100,000 El Cajon Stakes Friday at Del Mar.

Restricted to 3-year-olds at one mile over Polytrack, the El Cajon is the sixth of seven races. Post time Friday at Del Mar is 4 p.m.Track gates at Betfair Hollywood Park will open at 10 a.m. for simulcasts.

Owned by a partnership that includes George Todaro and Hall of Fame trainer Jerry Hollendorfer, Fury Kapcori finished 1 ¼ lengths behind Violence as a 16-1 shot in the Futurity.

The son of Tiznow and the Go for Gin mare Gin Running has won two of six and earned $225,800. He was fourth in his 3-year-old debut in an optional claimer at six furlongs Aug. 1 at Del Mar.
