2012 Swaps Winner Debuts For Hollendorfer

INGLEWOOD, Calif. (January 21, 2013)—Blueskiesnrainbows, who won the Grade II Swaps Stakes last July 4 at Betfair Hollywood Park, will make his first start for a new trainer Thursday at Santa Anita.

The $60,000 optional claimer at one mile for older horses is the seventh of eight races. Post time Thursday at Santa Anita is 1 p.m. Track gates at Betfair Hollywood Park will open at 10:15 a.m. for simulcasts.

Owned by Bad Boy Racing LLC and Whizway Farms, Blueskiesnrainbows will debut for Hall of Fame conditioner Jerry Hollendorfer after winning three of 10 for former trainer Bob Baffert, who is also a member of the Hall of Fame.

A 4-year-old son of English Channel and the Deputy Minister mare Cho Cho San, Blueskiesnrainbows went gate-to-wire over Cushion Track in the Swaps, defeating Nonios by three-quarters of a length.

Third at 42-1 behind eventual Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner I’ll Have Another in the Grade I Santa Anita Derby last April 7, Blueskiesnrainbows has earned $227,282.
