2011 Harry Henson Winner Surfaces In Governor’s Cup Handicap

INGLEWOOD, Calif. (September 18, 2012)—Ain’t No Other, who won the 2011 Harry Henson Stakes at Betfair Hollywood Park, is the 5-2 morning line favorite for the $50,000 Governor’s Cup Handicap Wednesday at Fairplex Park.

A 6 ½ furlong race for older horses, the Governor’s Cup is the 10th of 11 races. Post time Wednesday at Fairplex is 4 p.m. Track gates at Betfair Hollywood Park will open at 10:15 a.m. for simulcasts.

Owned by breeder Tommy Town Thoroughbreds, Ain’t No Other will be making his first start Wednesday for Hall of Fame trainer Jerry Hollendorfer.

A 4-year-old gelded son of Old Topper and the Shadeed mare Miami Margie, Ain’t No Other has won six of 17 and earned $277,173. The California bred is winless in five starts in 2012. He has been second in his last two outings – losing by a half-length to Bailoutheminister Sam J. Whiting Handicap July 4 at Pleasanton, then missing by a neck to Shudacudawudya in the Jess Jackson Owners’ Handicap Aug. 5 on the turf at Santa Rosa.
