INGLEWOOD, Calif. (July 13, 2008) - Zenyatta, who stretched her unbeaten streak to six with victories in the Milady Handicap and Vanity Handicap, was voted Horse of the Meet in the annual media poll as the 60-day Spring/Summer Meet closed Sunday.
Zenyatta, owned by Jerry and Ann Moss, trained by John Shirreffs and ridden by Mike Smith, received 14 of 15 votes in the media poll.
The daughter of Street Cry was a unanimous choice as older female. Other unanimous winners were Azul Leon as 2-year-old and 2-year-old male; Pure Clan as 3-year-old filly; Street Boss as sprinter, John Sadler as trainer, and Rafael Bejarano as jockey.

Emmy Darling, 2-year-old filly; Tres Borrachos, 3-year-old and 3-year-old male; Heatseeker as older male; Artiste Royale as turf horse; Diamond Diva as female turf horse; Lake Dajur as claiming horse, and Jose Campos as apprentice jockey.
