INGLEWOOD, Calif. (June 19, 2008) - Polonius, winner of the Will Rogers in his last start, will try for a sweep of Hollywood Park's turf stakes for 3-year-olds in Saturday's $150,000 Cinema Handicap.

The 3-year-old son of Broken Vow will carry high weight of 119 pounds in the 1 1/8-mile Cinema, which is one furlong longer than the Will Rogers. Seven horses have completed the two-race sweep.

Polonius, a $150,000 purchase by B.J. Wright as a 2-year-old, has won three of five starts for earnings of $143,100. His lone venture from the turf came when he finished ninth in the Santa Anita Derby. He won the Pasadena Stakes prior to that.

The 62nd running of the Grade III Cinema drew a field of five, which lines up as follows from the rail out:

Polonius, with Jon Court up, 119 pounds; Ez Dreamer, Corey Nakatani, 118; Tiz West, Victor Espinoza, 119; Robscarvic, Joel Rosario, 115, and Liberian Freighter, Rafael Bejarano, 115.

Ez Dreamer, Tiz West and Robscarvic each started in the Will Rogers, finishing third, fourth and fifth, respectively.

Liberian Freighter moves up in class after scoring a pair of impressive allowance wins on turf for trainer Neil Drysdale.

The Cinema will run as the third of nine races on Saturday's program. First post is at 1:20 p.m.
