$1.2-Million Pick Six Payoff Third Highest In Hollypark History
INGLEWOOD, Calif. (May 4, 2009) - The third highest Pick Six payoff in Hollywood Park history occurred Sunday as the lone perfect ticket - purchased at Santa Anita Park - was worth $1,262,507.
A two-day carryover of $387,386 entering Sunday generated $1,576,209 in additional Pick Six wagering. Entering the final leg, nine of 12 horses were covered. Masterful Miss, the 2-1 favorite, rallied in the stretch and drew away under Tyler Baze, resulting in one perfect ticket.
The winning combination came on a $24,192 ticket.
Hollywood Park's highest Pick Six payoff of $1,540,401.60 came on June 2, 2006. Two winners collected $1,312,808,60 apiece on May 19, 2004.
