INGLEWOOD, Calif. (May 1, 2008) - Tissy Fit, claimed one start earlier for $40,000, charged from last to score a 1 1/4-length upset victory under jockey Joel Rosario in Thursday's $57,000 allowance/optional claiming feature at Hollywood Park.
The 6-year-old gelding covered 1¼ miles on Cushion Track in 2:01.93 to win for the eighth time in 33 starts.
Lonely Highway finished second under Clinton Potts, while odds-on favorite Mostacolli Mort was another three-quarters of a length back in third under Tyler Baze.
Tissy Fit, winner of the 2007 Tanforan Handicap on a yielding turf course at Golden Gate Fields, finished fifth one start later in the Hollywood Turf Cup. Now trained by John Sadler, he paid $21.20, $7.20 and $4.80. Lonely Highway returned $5.20 and $3.60, while the show payoff on Mostacolli Mort was $2.10.
