CDSN Photo Richard Welsh, the fire chief at Hollywood Park who has been a track employee for two decades, has been chosen "Employee of the Week" for the week ending June 12 by Hollywood Park's Goodwill Ambassador Committee. Welsh, who oversees a staff of six, says, "I love racing and the people connected with the sport. I've been around racing all of my life, and Hollywood Park is a great place to work." Prior to his employment at Hollywood Park, Welsh worked overseas in Indonesia. He resides in Long Beach with his wife of 21 years, Diana, who works in the stewards' office at Hollywood Park.
