Community Relations

Hollywood Park Racing Charities Inc., the charitable arm of Hollywood Park annually contributes about $300,000 to charities and non-profit organizations. Hollywood Park employees contribute their time on many local boards and committees, and are especially supportive of the Inglewood Unified School District. In addition, Hollywood Park opens up its facilities to the community for various events.

Hollywood Park works closely with Partners for Progress, an Inglewood non-profit organization whose members include the City of Inglewood, Hollywood Park Casino, Centinela Hospital, Daniel Freeman Memorial Hospital and the Inglewood Park Cemetery.

Hollywood Park is a proud supporter of the Inglewood Unified School District. A $131 million schoolbond issue was passed with a record 88% margin, due in large part to the support given the school district by Hollywood Park.

Hollywood Park annually hosts a college fair, at which college bound seniors meet with representatives from colleges and universities from all over the United States. The track also organizes the Annual Snow Day in December, a Christmas party for St. Margarets Center, Scout-O-Rama in June, and our Easter Egg Hunt.

Hollywood Park also supports such diverse organizations as the Red Cross, Watts Health Foundation Care Program, Inglewood Little League, Zenith Youth Homes, and the Crippled Children's Society.

In recognition of its commitment to the community, Hollywood Park has recieved numerous awards. In 1999, Hollywood Park received the Good Corporate Citizen Award from the Inglewood Business Organization Network for its ongoing support of Inglewood area charitable organizations. The Inglewood/Airport Area Chamber of Commerce presented Hollywood Park the First Annual Business of the Year Award in 2000, and the Exceptional Commitment to Community Service Award in 1998.
