INGLEWOOD, Calif. (September 1, 2010)—Wickedly Perfect, who began her career with a maiden victory at Hollywood Park on June 27, will look for her second graded win in a row when she faces 11 other 2-year-old fillies Saturday in the $250,000 Darley Debutante at Del Mar.
Trained by Doug O’Neill for a partnership that includes STD Racing Stable, the daughter of Congrats won by nearly five lengths in her initiation at Hollywood Park, then followed with a victory in the Sorrento, a Grade III, on Aug. 6 at Del Mar.

Owned by Emily, Pam and Marty Wygod and trained by John Shirreffs, Harmonious can become the first American Oaks winner to also win the Del Mar Oaks, a Grade I at 1 1/8 miles on the turf. Dublino did take the Del Mar Oaks after being disqualified out of a victory in the inaugural American Oaks in 2002.

Read the Full StoryINGLEWOOD, Calif. (August 14, 2010)—Russell Baze, the world’s winningest rider, earned career victory No. 11,000 on Saturday at the Sonoma County Fair in Santa Rosa, Ca.
The milestone win for Baze, who turned 52 on Aug. 7, came in the day’s fourth race. He guided Separate Forest, a debuting 3-year-old Forestry filly, to an easy victory in the $25,000 contest for older maiden fillies and mares. Owned by breeder Gerald Ford’s Diamond A Racing Corporation and trained by Richard Mandella, Separate Forest, who had recorded eight works over the Cushion Track at Hollywood Park prepping for her initial race, completed the 5 ½ furlongs in 1:02.38.

Leroy’s Dynameaux, Golden Itiz and Alphie’s Bet, who combined to win four times in Inglewood, will all be seeking the first Grade II victories of their career in the La Jolla, which is run at 1 1/16 miles on turf.
