INGLEWOOD, Calif. (January 25, 2012)—Caracortado, who earned the first turf victory of his career Nov. 11, 2010 at Hollywood Park, will try for his second stakes win of the current Santa Anita meet in the $100,000 Sensational Star Saturday.
The first of three consecutive stakes restricted to California breds on the program, the Sensational Star will be run at 6 ½ furlongs on the grass. It is also part of a $250,000 guaranteed, $1 minimum Pick 6 that will include the three Cal bred stakes from Santa Anita and three Florida bred stakes from Gulfstream Park.
